DRIVE SCAPE JAPAN
About DSJ
Let the scenery and the experiences you love shape your next journey.
Who runs DSJ
Drive Scape Japan (DSJ) is a driving and car rental guide run by its owner as an individual. The owner has driven many roads in Kanto, Chubu, Tohoku, Chugoku, Shikoku and Kyushu.
Why DSJ exists
The owner loves driving. Whenever there is free time, the owner heads off in their own car or a rental to places not yet seen.
DSJ started from wanting a place where people who love driving as much as the owner does can share the best roads and views they have driven, and the drive spots each of them thinks are good.
For people who love a sense of openness, even very famous places often turn out not to feel good to drive, or not to feel like a break from everyday life.
On the other hand, drivers who are not used to driving can find remote roads exhausting.
So that each reader can find spots that suit them, DSJ covers a wide range, from the most famous drives to remote places few people have seen.
There is a limit to how far you can take your own car, so DSJ also introduces car and motorcycle rental companies, including those that rent classic Japanese sports cars, so you can enjoy driving wherever you travel.
DSJ also prepares guides for visitors from abroad, so they can rent a car with confidence and enjoy driving in Japan.
What DSJ covers
Driving areas, routes and places in Japan, and comparisons of car rental options by airport, station and region.
Store pages link to official providers for availability and rental terms. Reservations, contracts and payments are handled by those providers, not by DSJ.
How pages are made
AI checks each page against official information, and the owner decides what to publish. Facts such as prices, opening hours and road closures are checked against official pages on the day. Each page lists its check date and sources at the end. Anything that cannot be confirmed is not stated as fact.
